Andy Richter re-teams with Conan O'Brien in this comedy as he portrays Andy Barker, an earnest, hard-working CPA who has succeeded at everything -- until his new accounting business fails to take off. But when he's mistaken for Lew Staziak, the retired private detective who used to occupy his storefront office, Andy embraces the twist of fate and dives into his double life. Andy's relentlessly supportive wife Jen isn't sold on this risky new venture, that is, until she notices a sudden boost in Andy's self-confidence. Contra Security, a high-tech security firm that takes extreme - and often questionable - measures to sell its protection services is corporate America's answer to "The A-Team", giving clients a sense of security by first ripping it away. In the opener, Contra's man of mystery owner, Oz, blackmails his newest recruit, computer hacker Cameron, to join his team. Police Squad! was a parody of the Quinn Martin Productions' police dramas of the 1960s and 1970s, hence the use of "In Color" by the narrator. The show's main staple of entertainment came from sight gags (such as a tow truck being a truck in the shape of a big toe) and misunderstandings in dialogue, mostly from people taking things extremely literally. Several great routines came from these misunderstandings that left characters in the scene very confused, but left the audience with loads of humor.

Bosom Buddies follows the adventures of Kip Wilson and Henry Desmond, junior ad-men at Livingston Gentry and Mishkin Advertising Agency. When their building is demolished, they dress as women to stay with co-worker Amy Cassidy in her apartment at the Susan B. Anthony Hotel, where men are forbidden anywhere above the lobby. Kip and Henry decide to invent alter egos Buffy and Hildegarde (their fictional sisters) to move into an empty (and cheap) apartment at the hotel; Henry, to write an expose about the experience, and Kip, to get closer to Amy's beautiful roommate, Sonny Lumet, nurse, and part-time dancer.

He is convinced he is the epitome of urban cool and therefore secretly terrified he might not be, which is why he reads Sugar Ape Magazine - his bible of cool. Dan Ashcroft writes searing columns for Sugar Ape. He's considered astonishingly cool, but only by those he despises. He is surrounded by idiots and practically worshipped by Nathan (whom he considers to be their king). He is 34. Why has he failed to move on? Claire Ashcroft, 27, is Dan's sister. Like Dan she despises "cool". Unlike Nathan she despises novelty, trash, irony and gadgets. She is furious that no one will fund her hard-hitting documentary about a choir of reformed junkies.

When manager Todd Dempsy returns to work after management training, he learns that the Mid America Novelties call center has been outsourced to Mumbai, India. In order to keep his job, Todd is left no choice but to relocate to India. All of Jessica's new efforts are met with the critique of the friends' precocious nine-year-old neighbor, Queenetta (Daija Owens), who is not shy about doling out advice on their life choices.
